What's On Your Wall Wednesday

In our basement family room we have our colletion of shot glasses from wherever we have vacationed. We have 3 shelves like this that are full, one that hasn't made it on the wall yet, and enough to fill another after that. They bring back a lot of memories of past trips and fun.

I have never had too much trouble finding "shot" glasses for souveniers, except Disney World, where the lady was very troubled that I would think Disney shops would encourage drinking alcohol. I was a bit taken aback by the comment, but then just had to laugh. I collect them because they are very easy to transport and small and reasonable in price, NOT because I need to use them for alcohol.

Thanks to Barb for hosting another beautiful Spring WOYWW! Go look for more wall candy at http://gritsglamour.blogspot.com/

  1. That's funny that the lady at Disney thought you wanted alcohol. lol Well, I guess she doesn't collect anything. Great collections and it is always so nice to remember fun times. Hugs, Marty

  2. Oh my, it is HILARIOUS that the Disney lady was shocked by the shot glass request. How funny!

Never use a shot glass myself, I just pour till the booze runs out over the top of the glass.....

ONLY KIDDING! Cute collection, one of my daughters has a fledgling shot glass collection. I have to admit, I haven't bought one for her yet, but I'm sure the time will come. They really are cute.

  3. Well who knew! I honestly thought that Disney would not miss out on any chance to promote the Mouse - no matter what it was printed on. What a silly comment that was. Don't they serve beer there? LOL

My son is also collecting these. I have found some really cool ones. Your's is a big collection. My SIL collects the small spoons and has hers hung on the wall too.

Thanks for sharing and joining this week's WOYWW. Hope to see you again next week.

    Thanks, Barb

  4. Someone ought to make some bogus Disney World shot glasses for those who collect them. Not that I'm advocating anything illegal. I can't believe they don't sell any. I have a few shot glasses & I don't drink alcohol. You are right, they are small, easy to bring home as a souvenir & inexpensive.

  5. Most be a popular item to collect because when I travel it seems someone is always asking me to bring them back a shot glass. It sure beats collecting tea pots that I try to shove into my suitcase :) Thanks for sharing.
