What's on your wall? Wednesday

I guess I've missed out for awhile, cause this isn't a weekly post any more. Oh well, here it is anyway!

I've got wallpaper - all over. I've begun to remove it - one room at a time. So hopefully someday I'll be done...... I think I need a support group like Wallpaperer's Anon or something. Go to see what everyone else has on their wall too at http://gritsglamour.blogspot.com/.

What's on Your Wall Wednesday

In my hallway on our main floor I keep my kids Sr. Pictures, with their wedding photos. First our Son and his wife Carla, they were married on a ship out on Lake Superior in July of 2006. I will blog about it sometime but for now here’s the photo:
Next is Angie, our oldest daughter. She was married in 1996 and has been divorced for quite 10 years. Here are her Sr. Pix and her wedding photo with her Dad.Last, not least, is our youngest – Emilie. She and Curtis were married in November of 2003. Her Sr. Pix are below and her photo with her Dad.
Across from the Sr. Pictures are their 1 year photos and a pair of their baby shoes that are bronzed. The photos are below – but don’t look too close, the dust really showed up well!
I have more photos on my walls than I do anything else. I guess that stands to reason since I own a photography studio. When I see some of those beautiful paintings or prints of gardens, homes, etc., my mind always wonders if I could take a photo that would look like that IF I could find the right garden/house.
I hope you all have a wonderful WOMWW, enjoying the weather or whatever else pleases you! Join us over at http://gritsglamour.blogspot.com/ for the rest of the story!

What's On Your Wall Wednesday

What's on my wall is photos of DD#2 with her babies from L to R is Emma, in the middle is Landon, and then Brady. The one of Landon is without Emilie I guess. I did them in black and white, framed them in white mat with black frame, all different. The wall color is actually a buttery yellow, which I noticed never comes out that color when you photograph it. Oh well. that's what's on my wall!

What's On Your Wall Wednesday

What's on my wall this week is ALL about Wizard of Oz!!! This is only a sampling of what I have, but loved as much as any!!
This shelf holds figures and music boxes.
There are the beanie Wizard of Oz Characters on the shelf above the afghan.
There is the baby afghan I made to bring our DD#2 home from the hospital that is the afghan stitch, with the characters cross stitched on it, with a rainbow border.
This is a photo of a picture that is on my DD#2's wall. The cloud has the Wizard of Oz characters in the clouds, and the bottom of the photo is a wheat field and elevators, much like our landscape here where we live.

What's On Your Wall Wednesday

Thanks to http://gritsglamour.blogspot.com/ for hosting TWO great blogs this week! Check 'im out!

I made this wall hanging quilt when we finally got our basement finished. It's appliqued and approx 2x3 feet. My DH made the matching house hanger for it. I've made 5 or 6 of these quilts with different things on them, donating them to the Hospice Auction in April each year. They sold very well and I was tickled about that. This one has been up a long time, but still looks good where I have it. It's one of my many quilts.

What's On Your Wall Wednesday

In our basement family room we have our colletion of shot glasses from wherever we have vacationed. We have 3 shelves like this that are full, one that hasn't made it on the wall yet, and enough to fill another after that. They bring back a lot of memories of past trips and fun.

I have never had too much trouble finding "shot" glasses for souveniers, except Disney World, where the lady was very troubled that I would think Disney shops would encourage drinking alcohol. I was a bit taken aback by the comment, but then just had to laugh. I collect them because they are very easy to transport and small and reasonable in price, NOT because I need to use them for alcohol.

What's On Your Wall Wednesday

http://gritsglamour.blogspot.com/ Thanks for hosting a beautiful spring What's on Your Wall Wednesday!!! We took this photo a couple of years ago at the Arboretum in Kansas City, Kansas. It was a beautiful fall day, actually I think maybe Thanksgiving, or at least that weekend. It is a good photo of DH, me, and his Lady.

Our kids gave us this photo enlargement of ourselves, for our 35th anniversary a couple of years ago. We don't have a fireplace (yet) and so it hangs in our dining/living room over the buffet. It just looks like a regular photo until you get close up.

I closed in on this as good as I could. As you can see, this photo is made up of family photos. It is actually a mosaic of photos the kids collected from our 35 years of marriage put together to make this photo. Is that the coolest thing? We just love it! They had a surprise party for us at our cabin at the lake, and I had to cry when I saw this. There are baby photos, wedding photos, and little bit of everything.
Thanks for visiting me today! Have a beautiful spring day! Sandi
