Tablescape Thursday

Welcome to a beautiful Spring Tablescape Thursday! Rather than stage anything myself this week, I chose to tell you a little bit about me. I have a photography studio in our small town, and do weddings, seniors, babies and families on weekends and evenings (in my spare time). This week I'm showing you some of the things I take photos of at the weddings, and that's the flowers, tablescapes, cakes, and altars. I know the brides go to a lot of trouble making everything "just right", and most of the time do not remember anything when the day is all over! They are too busy to remember the details, so I try to take photos of those so they can always remember. I love the fact that you can tell a lot about a person in the type of decorations they use on this very important day of their life. It's really a window into their "soul" so to speak. I went to the studio last week and spent a little time digging out a few photos to show you. These are just but a smidgeon of the photos, but give you an idea. Enjoy!
This brides father is a farmer and she chose red roses, wheat from their field and placed it in mason jars from her Grandmother's cellar. It's obvious that family is very important to her.

See the detail of rope and cactus on the cake. Someone went to a lot of trouble!

Thanks to Susan for hosting Tablescape Thursday again this week. What an ambitious bunch of people we are!!! Check out the others at http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ .

  8. What beautiful photographs! The cakes are gorgeous, and the purple table is just wonderful! Thanks for stopping by, to answer your question we actually removed everything - we had to take the kitchen down to the studs for the renovation so we tiled over the new drywall. We had tried to remove the formica previously - gave up after we killed two heat guns! I have heard that you can tile over the formica, so you might want to check HGTV or DIY network. Sorry couldn't be more help. Kathy

  17. When I got married 3 years ago, no one took photos of my tables (except for a few photos with people sitting at my tables). I wished someone would have taken photos of each table & the food table. I guess I should have hired a professional but we were on a budget, so my son & sister took the photos. That is the one regret from my wedding. Thanks for sharing your photos, I love seeing how everyone decorates for weddings & their cakes, etc.
