Are you tired of never knowing where all of your bills are? Are you tired of being disorganized? Well, here's an idea that I've caught on to, and it starts with a PINK folder.
My Pink Saturday post is about me keeping organized. When I had my closet redone by the lady at "Classy Closets" she gave me so many good ideas about getting organized and this one I've really kept up well. I call it "Bills in a Bag". The pink folder was given to me when we went to see Oprah several years ago in Kansas City. At the time she was doing a tour by the name of Hi! Gorgeous! and this folder was one of the items in one of the booths. In that folder I keep a manilla envelope for the months receipts, a notebook to record each bill and how much was paid, a book or two of stamps, letter opener, extra envelopes, return address labels, calendar, and several ink pens. I have a large book (the blue one above) that has checks in it, but also could put a regular check book in the folder if I chose. The great thing about this, is that whenever I need to pay bills on the run, I can just grab the folder and everything I need is there. Whenever I get a bill, it goes directly into the folder. I pay my bills as they come in, so I don't have to worry about when they are due, etc. But, when I used to get paid only once a month, I had to have a schedule that I used, certain ones on certain days. Since I'm a traveling therapist, there are many occasions that I need to grab the folder and take it along, since I don't know when I will be home again. My husband can open my mail, if I need him to, tell me what I need to know, and I can write them out/pay on line/etc., and still have the record that I'm accustomed to. If I'm at home, it stores very neatly in the cupboard, and I don't have to go on a search mission to find all the items that I need to write out my bills. It is right there in the BAG!
I suppose this is kinda weird for a Pink Saturday, but it's a very important part of my PINK life. That, and I also have a pink palm phone and a pink brief case! Thanks to http://howsweetthesound.blogspot.com/ for hosting Pink Saturday.

I used to be organized...very organized. But then we moved, broke my foot, in a cast for 6 mos. With moving and then being hindered by the cast, I totally lost control of my organization and never have recovered.
