  2. Hi Sandi
Thanks for dropping by Lavender Cottage. Your autumn mosaic is very nice.
Loved reading about your mother's red shoes - my mother also had a pair but I don't have a sister and so would wear both around the house when she wasn't home.
Maybe we had a Wizard of Oz fantasy? :-)

  3. Hi Sandi...

Just wanted to stop by after you left me such a sweet note on my faux fireplace project! Thank you so much, my friend! Okay...I'm crossin' my fingers for you...sure do hope that you get your fireplace this year and hopefully in time to enjoy the fire this winter! I notice that you are in Kansas...and a fire would be soooo nice!

Anyway...I really enjoyed your fabulous Autumn mosaic...of course I enlarged it so I could "drink in" all the lovely details! Those yellow mums are divine...so very beautiful!!! Just wondering if you plant yours out and how they do in this colder climate? Living in Colorado, I imagine we are about the same.

I also went through your "Show & Tell" post! My friend, what an endearing story! I think that was the sweetest...for your mom to give you and your sister each one of those red heels! What a cute idea to add silk flowers to them also! What a treasure!!! Thank you for sharing it with all of us...

    Warmest wishes,
    Chari @Happy To Design

PS...a hearty Congratulations to Jane for winning that fabulous signed copy of Nell Hill's Christmas! That was such a nice giveaway, Sandi! Thank you!!!

  5. I planted the mums, 4" pots, from a local nursery this spring. They turned out gorgeous! If I were home, I would have covered them and they would still be good, but since I'm only home on weekends, I wasn't able to. They've all been frozen, but there's always next year!
