Tablescape Thursday

Getting toward the end of my Nell Hill's tablescapes, so here's the one that was way over the top for me. The old tin wagon in the middle of the table was huge, and filled with grapevine. There truly was no room to eat, and certainly was no way to converse with the others at the table.
They used garden statuary for impact, and it certainly works!

They also used kitchen towels for napkins, as we all have at one time or another!
I really like the white pitcher and glasses, as well as the clay pots on the table.

  1. Well, it is interesting and I like the dishes...but, I would go crazy with that centerpiece. It was obviously more for "the look" than the function. It does look cool.

  2. The wagon makes for a lovely display, however I agree with you that it is not a workable tablescape. I hope you have a Blessed and Happy Thanksgiving. Hugs, Marty

  4. Sandi, even though it's not practical, that centerpiece is lots of fun. I love the tin wagon on the table with all of the grapevine and things flowing from it. I wouldn't want to sit at that table and try to talk, but I like looking at it. It would make a good buffet table if there was a lot of room on either end for the food. ;-)

Love those colorful dishes, too, and the kitchen towels as napkins. I've done that for casual meals when we were eating something like boiled shrimp, and it really is a pretty neat trick.

I am wishing you a very Happy Tablescape Thursday as well as a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow. Hope it is filled with every blessing...

    XO,

    Sheila :-)
