Tablescape Thursday - sorta and definitely an Outdoor Wednesday

A few weeks back my Mom and I went to a family reunion in Lucas, Kansas. My Dad was born and raised here and there aren't many family left, so we try to attend every year. Across the street from the hall where we ate, there were these gorgeous old buildings. As we went across the street, we noticed there was a gift shop of things made out of scrap metal. As we drove out of town we found the most outrageous "Fork Art" area. Enjoy!
Aren't these native stone buildings incredible?
How about a crane made out of scrap metal?
This is a lizard and a statue of an Indian, made out of scrap metal.
Here's a traditional tablescape, with some of the largest ants you will find! You'd think these would be in Texas, not Kansas!

How about a "Field of Forks" instead of the usual "Field of Dreams"?.......
This fork and spook had mosaic handles and even some Barbie dolls (?) in them....
I didn't understand this one either, but whatever....
One of the metal sculptures on the wall of the native stone bulding in the downtown park area.
Wow, I look HUGE in this picture! Remind me not to wear that again.....
This post has given a whole new thought to tablescapes. Sorry to not have a REAL tablescape, but I haven't been home for awhile to do one. Hopefully this weekend I can play dishes again. In the mean time, go over to http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ and see the great ideas there and join everyone for a another Outdoor Wednesday at http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/ .
