Tea pots with fruits OR vegetables....
I know some people who would like the bee hive.....
Linen collars....
Of course my favorite - white!
Tins of all sizes and kinds....
Ceramic pieces...
Isn't this old gate great? It would go well with my cows and barns at the cabin.....
I love the way they had red/white/blue in the window. Wish I had a REAL house like that one!
This chocolate set sells for $265.00 and only had 3 cups. I thought that was kinda high, although it was a beautiful set. And then it was time for what we really came for - or at least part of us.....
The parade entrants were lined up for blocks.
The color guard led the way.
Like every small town parade, there was the Queen and King! Are they just adorable, or what????
After the parade we went back to the cabin to rest and get ready for the boys' choice for supper. First they ask for Meme's homemade macaroni and cheese made the old fashioned way with velveeta cheese. Next the asked for....
Chicken legs, seasoned with garlic pepper and seasoning salt, and cooked on a low fire.....
Everyone's favorite, fresh relishes.....
Some home made slaw......
And an all time favorite at our house, Meme's baked beans!
Both of the boys LOVE their chicken legs. As they say, "chicken on the bone". No one went away from the table hungry. We then made "somemore's" using the grill for dessert.
Sunday Morning came too soon though....
Sunday Morning came too soon though....
Landon and Emma are in a good mood this morning! They enjoyed a late night of fireworks and still have a smile this a.m.
Brady is chowin' down on his fruity cereal before they had to hit the road!
A wonderful time was had by all and before the kids left on Sunday a.m., we had to do a family photo.
Come back again to see what me and my family are up to. I have much more to share! In the mean time, join everyone celebrating an outdoor Wednesday at http://asoutherndreamer.blogspot.com/ .

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Playing Dishes for a visit. I entered your name in the July 25 Christmas tablecloth. Your husband sounds like mine, but I caught him singing a holiday song when the clock hit 10 this morning and was playing a song as he walked through the room!
Darling kids and such a treasure to have a new family photo. Family is everything!
Oops that was thanks for visiting Christmas Memories in My Heart. You are entered in the weekly Wednesday holiday giveaway there!
