White Wednesday and Metamorphosis Monday

I'm going to give you a little tour of my new, updated, sewing/computer room curtain treatments. There is white involved.....I've had this plan in my head for the room - for about 5 years. I've been saving my money, and hoping that some day soon I could go ahead with it. FINALLY! The time is here. The room is done, and I'm going to share with you my new curtains.

I measured the window, adding my depth, and called the lumbar yard ahead. They had this $6.00 piece of wood all ready when I walked in. Then I remembered I have a compact car......:)

There's just some things DH won't let me do. I don't agree with him, but it's a battle I don't chose to have.

Glue and a nail gun make fast work of this project, well that and DH! I wanted a cornice made and it's starting to take shape.

A little spray glue will hold the thin layer of padding until the fabric is on.

Staples hold everything in place, just like I planned. A few months ago I found an awesome remnant of fabric that I liked.

Ok, so now there's a problem. I've miscalculated the length of the remnant, and now have to piece it. I need to come up with some way to make it look intentional.

I think I found just the right thing to fix the problem! Yay!

The back of this little piece of bling is in very good condition - sure wish I knew what it was

Here's the finished cornice - ready to be hung...........

The white cabinets are exactly what I've always dreamed I'd put in that area, and now it's a reality!

I used the white shears to keep it from being too sterile, they add the right touch of feminine to suit me.

Hope you enjoyed my white post and my Metamorphosis Monday post, I loved having you stop by and leaving your comments.
