It's a Pink Saturday!

A couple of weeks ago, I posted my napkin rings and napkin holder that my friend made. They were custom painted to resemble our family when the kids were little. You can see that post here: http://smalltownimages.blogspot.com/2009/07/thrifty-tablescape-thursday.html
This week, I have another thing that this very talented lady painted for me. I live in a very small town, and the below blocks were made and painted to resemble houses and buildings in town. Click on the below photo to see the names, and details she made on them. They are incredible. Our house is in the front, middle, and when we built it, it was painted a light tan with white trim. Through the years it faded, and became more pink than beige. She thought we had a pink house, and so painted it pink. Also, this is the house before we built on in 1996, so it looks similar, but not the same as my photo on the left side of the blog.

The church is like the original one was, the next building is the Blacksmith Shop, next is the bank, which NOW is my photography studio, in the back is the grocery store, in front of that is our house, and the yellow house is gone now, but we know it as the "Hanke House".

Okay, it was a stretch, but in all of my photos, I didn't have anything NEW that was pink. So, guess I'll have to work harder for next weekend, huh? Join all of us "Pinkies" at Bev's this week. Hey! I also found out I'm going to have another GRAND DAUGHTER in December! Can't get much pinker than that!!!!!!Bev can be find at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/
