Metamorphosis Monday

I just HAD to do this, since I haven't been on the blog road long enough to have photos of so much I do, but I just couldn't NOT participate! So here it is!

Don't know if you listen to the weather this time of day, but I needed some comfort food. Within 4 hours of us they have tornado warnings, within 2 hours of us the interstate is closed because of prarie fires, and here the wind is blowing up to 68 mph.

By now you can close your eyes and smell the baking of Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies, and if you really try, you can feel the warm chocolate as you bite in to one. I promise these cookies can keep your mind off of any worry you might have, and you can sink into a chocolate coma and escape the realities that drive you crazy!

I hope I helped you bring back some wonderful memories this afternoon, and I'm so glad you stopped by! Take a couple of cookies along for your drive, and hurry back soon! Thanks Susan, for hosting another wonderful Metamorphosis Monday! Go to http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ for more fun!

  1. Tornado warnings here in Oklahoma right now. Hmm...I think I'll have a cookie. :)

  2. Lovely cookies -- nothing like cookies to take your mind off weather!

  3. I, too, live in Kansas -- on the prairie in Southeast, Kansas -- Fort Scott, Bourbon County.
Nice to find another "prairie girl"!

  4. I love chocolate chip cookies. Yours look very yummy. I'm glad we don't have to deal with tornados here in California (well we did have one last year, it was a fluke). I'd much rather live with the threat of earthquakes. They don't happen very often & because you don't get any warning, you don't sit there & worry.
