Outdoor Wednesday - A Colorful Fall in Kansas already!

DH and I went out driving on Sunday, found a lot of color and beauty. It's been a very wet year for Kansas, just having followed up 7 years of drought, so it's very welcome. Fasten your seat belt, and lets take a ride around the countryside where I live.

Traditional sunflowers are fewer all the time.

There are more of these "ditch" flowers.

But we took the road less traveled......

Thanks for joining me again for Outdoor Wednesday, one of my favorite posts. If I can't think of anything else, I ALWAYS have posts of the outdoors!!!!! Thanks for joining me as I head over to to see what is going on.

  1. Lovely images of the country in Kansas! LOve all the wild flowers -- so beautiful. What an amazing day you and your sweetie must have had.

  5. There's just something about this small town living that is so pleasant along with the pleasant sights out in the country. Hard to beat.
    Enjoyed your post.

  6. All of your images of the Kansas area are really nice. You live in a nice area, but you get too mach bad weather in Kansas for me.

  7. I loved the tour of your "neighborhood." It must be lovely to be surrounded by so much beauty. I hope you are having a wonderful day.

  8. I enjoyed your 'travel' through the countryside. Reminds me of the home in OK from where we just moved. I, too, am a small-town girl. Nothin' better!

  9. Thanks for taking me on a ride through the country side I really enjoyed the scenery. I live in MO so are scenery is much the same. Hope you will drop by and see my drive through the country roads.
