Outdoor Wedensday - Mexico Vacation 2007

We are big fans of vacationing somewhere warm in the winter, and our favorite place to go is Puerto Vallarta. There are many places to chose from, but we've always stayed in the same place. It is on the ocean, with 3 swimming pools, 5 restraunts, 1 mile from the airport, and walking distance to the marina. For us it is perfect. This is, believe me, just a FEW photos from down there. I probably will show more at other times. We enjoy the pool, taking side trips for snorkeling, dinner cruises and more than I can remember!
When we arrived, on the way to find our room we saw this huge iguana. We are accustomed to wildlife in Kansas, but not quite like this! He wasn't afraid, just sunning himself.
We took a day tour for whale watching, and were overwhelmed with the whales, dolphins and sea turtles. They tell us that February is PRIME whale watching time, with mother's and babies being in great supply. We believe now!
One of my favorite places to spend time is at the marina. We enjoy drinks and the sunset at the above light house. It is accessible by an elevator or stairs. The elevator is so small only 3 people can ride on it.

John Huston, movie director, played a very important part in putting Puerto Vallarta "on the map". They practically worship him down there, since he gave them the ability to be so famous for the vacation spot they've come to be. We try to go to PV every other year. It's our favorite vacation spot. We are preparing to book our next trip to Puerto Vallarta any day now. I've been watching the prices for 8 days/nights at the Melia, all inclusive in February 2010. Can't wait!
