Finally, I have time to start on my fall stuff. I've been SO lazy lately, and thanks to all who put me on their prayer list last week. Things are better, and I'm sure it had a lot to do with the extra "word" you put in for me.
Of course, Grandma's silverware make their appearance! And my cream colored lace tablecloth. I seldom use it without an underlay, but seemed like a good idea this time.
I received this centerpiece as a gift years ago - filled with live flowers. I loved it so much, I went and found fake flowers that were similar. So easy!
The cream colored napkins were given to my by my Aunt a couple of months ago as she was cleaning out to have an auction. The leaf napkin rings were purchased at closeout in Walmart last fall. That's when I was living in a town that had a Walmart. I was so spoiled! I sure miss that- but not the traveling job....
The chargers are gold, but seem more copper colored when I put them with gold, so they work great for fall. DD#2's family gave them to me for Christmas last year. There's 8 of them, but I'm only using 4 today.
The goblets were purchased at a garage sale 6/$3.00. They are some of my favorites.
The little fuzzy pumpkins were purchased a Walmart clearance last year for $1.00 for the box of 6.
I purchased the candlestix for $3.00 at a garage sale, and painted them a creamy white. I wasn't too sure about using them with crystal glasses, but I like the combination of the two. The glasses just bring a little "class" to the setting.

I have so much natural light, that sometimes it's a challenge to get the photos right.

Good morning, Sandi. You have set a beautiful and very elegant table. I like mixing glass/crystal with more earthy touches. It tones down and elevates any setting both at the same time.
ReplyDeleteYou live in a town now too small to even support a WalMart?? I'm shocked. I read yesterday that WalMart is starting to open smaller scale stores for urban living. Perhaps a smaller store for the super small town would also work too.
Your tablescape is gorgeous. I love the use of the lace and crystal with more earthy elements too. Beautiful contrast and so pretty. Hugs, Marty

I am SO MUCH into seeing fall tables right now. I'm just drinking them in. This is so much my taste, especially that centerpiece (wish I had the eye for that!) and that tablecloth. I love how you left it bare for the autumn table.
ReplyDeleteI have those chargers, I think, and I agree that they look coppery sometimes. For your fall table, the hue was perfect!
Trying hard not to covet your grandmother's silver and those goblets!
Your table looks so pretty for fall! I really love the leaf napkin rings, and the different plates look great layered with that charger. Beautiful silver!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Fall table, Sandi!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad things are better for you this week. I love your table. The napkin rings and the little pumpkin on the candlestick are my favorite parts. I always like the unexpected! It all looks really beautiful.

ReplyDeleteReally pretty! I like the fuzzy pumpkins on display high up on the candlesticks (good job painting them!).

So glad to hear that you are doing better. Sending a prayer of praise. Your tablescape is lovely. I agree, I like to wood showing through your beautiful lace cloth. I think that it adds to the autumnal tone of your setting. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
