White Wednesday

I love my antique lamps. I have several, and 2 of them we've redone in WHITE......

Oh great, this photo shows how dusty is was, oh well. I found this lamp along the road, waiting for the trash truck. It was all metal colored, and DH agreed to rewire and paint it. I know, I know, he could have at least used the same color of light bulb thingies. But, he's an electrician, so I'm sure he used what he had extra of.....you know how it is when you work for relatives! Ha!

I love the lamp, but the shade is just not right for me.

Sorry, but I think it's BORING!!!! So I got a brain storm, and started ripping fabric........

I know it's a little drastic, but I really like the way they turned out. And, well, they are WHITE! And here's the other one.....

Joining "White Wednesday" participants with this post, hope you go check them out!

  4. I love finding stuff that I need - and I always need more light. My apartment is kind of dark and I need lots of light to crochet by. Nice job refurbishing and recycling.

    Happy June :-)

  7. I like this look for a lampshade. It's good to try new things and if you love it, that's all that matters.

    Great job!
