This is my header on my photo studio blog. I think it's pretty cool! I hope you have a great week, and enjoy going around visiting other Mosaic and Blue Monday blogs! I use my photo blog to post people pictures online so they can share them with their families, and see them a lot faster than they would otherwise. It is very expensive to pay others to post your photos for you, and this is free!
This is my Japanese china tea cup and saucer. I have a pair of them. About 15 years ago, I was at an auction and the auctioneer says, "Sandi, I can't even get a dollar for this box of stuff, you'll give me a dollar won't you?" Of course I said yes. In it with a lot of junk there were 5 cups and saucers. I took three of the 5 to a flower shop here in town, and had a dried arrangement put in them for my 3 good friends, and gave them to them for Mother's Day one year. I no longer keep in close touch with these girls and have wondered several times if they knew what they had. I've been told since then, that these are pre-war Japanese china, and are probably worth quite a bit if I had the right buyer. Ha! I still have the two left, and keep them displayed on top of one of my china cupboards. They are very delicate, thin, and painted with gold trim. There is so much detail. Please click on the photo to enlarge it and see what I mean.
I took last week off, seemed to have a writers block, but kept watching the folks I'm following. So, I'm back this week, I've been taking photos all weekend, hope I have enough to get me through the week. Be sure and check in at the Mosaic Monday host and also Blue Monday, found at the following addresses:
I haven't participated in Blue Monday for awhile, just don't have much blue or time! I have something that's such a pretty color of blue though that I thought I'd share. I have always collected Princess Di things, but in the good ole USA we never had a queen. Well, in my opinion, Jackie O was as close as we'll ever get - so I collect a few things of hers. Below is my Jackie O Beanie. She's the prettiest color of blue, isn't she? She has her signature pearls on her chest in an "O".
Welcome to Three or More Tuesday! Thanks to Gypsy Corner for hosting us for this fun peek into each other's lives! You can go to http://gypsycorner.blogspot.com to see more of the Three of More treasures!
This is the strip quilt I made I believe in 1992 when we were snowed in for 5 days. We were lucky to not lose our electricity like so many did, so I was able to sew. I used fabrics that were important, such as cloth that I had made clothes for the kids out of when they were little. I actually made ALL of their clothes when there were only two of them, and I was a stay-at-home Mom.The reason this is a double post, is because the back of my quilt is a twin sized navy blue bed sheet AND it takes this
and turns it in to THIS!!!
